Telegram is the fastest channel to set up — you can be live in under 2 minutes.

Setup

  1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather
  2. Send /newbot and follow the prompts to name your bot
  3. Copy the bot token BotFather gives you
  4. In your Rentalot dashboard, go to Channels > Telegram
  5. Paste the token and click Connect
  6. Rentalot verifies the token and registers a webhook automatically

Sharing Your Bot

Once connected, you get:

  • A t.me link (e.g., t.me/YourPropertyBot) — share this anywhere
  • A QR code — print it on flyers, business cards, or listing pages

You can create property-specific links so the bot knows which property the prospect is asking about:

t.me/YourPropertyBot?start=property_123

When a prospect opens this link, the bot automatically has context about that specific property.

Tips

  • Choose a professional bot name that matches your brand
  • Set a profile photo for your bot via BotFather (/setuserpic)
  • Add a description (/setdescription) so prospects know what to expect
